John B. Cherico, Esq. is the Managing Partner of John B. Cherico, Esq. & Associates.
Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1993, Quinnipiac University School
of Law, (Juris Doctor, 1993), Villanova University (B.A., 1988). Mr. Cherico
is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and
Eastern Districts of New York and United States Court for the District
of Connecticut. A former Assistant District Attorney, Westchester County
(1993-1998) under Hon. Jeanine Pirro, in addition to his private practice
Mr. Cherico is currently a Village Prosecutor in Westchester County. Mr.
Cherico has been a Board Member of both the Columbian Italian-American
Lawyers Association of Westchester County and Brehon Irish-American Law
Society of Westchester County. Mr. Cherico is primarily a litigator and
spends most of his time in the courtroom, not behind a desk. As a matrimonial,
Family Court and criminal defense litigator, Mr. Cherico has litigated
numerous matters in these fields to ensure favorable dispositions on behalf
of all of his clients. Over the years, Mr. Cherico has also litigated commercial,
contract, environmental and general litigation matters, including the landmark
Global Landfill litigation. Mr. Cherico has during the course of his 25+
year career handled multiple jury and non-jury criminal trials to verdict,
including numerous felony, misdemeanor and DWI cases. He takes great pride
in the innovative and specialized theory of defense he brings to every
criminal case and his level of preparation is second to none. Mr. Cherico
is responsible for overseeing the firm's active matrimonial practice, including
mediation and collaborative law, and has the right temperament to ensure
that his client’s best interests are always served no matter how
acrimonious the proceeding may be.

Julie A. Cherico, Esq. is a partner in the law firm of John B. Cherico, Esq. & Associates.
Ms. Cherico’s private practice is primarily focused on child custody, visitation,
matrimonial law, collaborative divorce, divorce and custody mediation and guardianship.
She earned her J.D. degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1993.
For the past decade, Ms. Cherico has been duly appointed by the Family and Supreme
Courts in Westchester and Putnam Counties to serve as attorney for the child.
No matter how difficult or complex the situation is Ms. Cherico strives to resolve
disputes creatively and positively while lessening the toll a divorce or separation
takes on one’s life, their family and their future. Ms. Cherico maintains
close contact with her clients to ensure so they have a clear and firm understanding
of their case and legal strategy she will utilize on their behalf. Ms. Cherico
is well-known for the personal attention she gives to each and every one of her
clients as well as for her compassion, treating each client individually to reach
effective solutions. Regularly appearing in the Supreme and Family Courts of
Westchester and Putnam counties, Ms. Cherico is known for her skillful and creative
settlement negotiations and her determination to ensure matters are effectively
resolved while ensuring her client’s rights are aggressively protected
while doing so.
